The Milk District announces Zac Alfson as Executive Director

(Orlando, FL—) The Milk District is pleased to announce and welcome Zac Alfson as the Executive Director of the district. Zac has extensive experience in nonprofit management and community building and will lead The Milk District’s efforts to enhance and preserve the small business community while nurturing the arts, culture, and ongoing development of our creative district. He will begin in this role at the beginning of December.

As the Executive Director of The Milk District, Zac will work to develop a strong and productive working relationship with district businesses and property owners, and public officials. He will lead planning and implementation of signature events and physical improvement projects as part of the overall continuing redevelopment of the Milk District, as a partner in the Orlando Main Streets Program.

“The Milk District welcomes Zac and looks forward to him continuing our commitment to our thriving business district,” said Milk District board chair Shaun Noonan. “He brings the creative energy and proven leadership to bring together Milk District businesses and residents to ensure our future as a vibrant, diverse destination for locals and visitors alike”

Most recently, Zac served as the Patron Engagement Manager for the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, where he grew the Society’s subscriber and single ticket patron base by over 50%, professionalized the box office with income growth strategies resulting in year-over-year earned revenue records, and built closer relationships with patrons and donors through personal communication.  He has extensive experience in the Main Street America programs, having served on committees with Mills50 and Church Street District in Orlando.

“I’m thrilled to step into this position with the district,” said Alfson. “The Milk District has long been a home, and I am looking forward to energizing the vision of the committed business community and our neighbors throughout the region to make The Milk District an amazing place to live, work, and play.”
